Recently, several mule deaths occurred in Yuanzhuang Village, Ganquan County. At the same time, Yanda Affiliated Hospital received a suspected anthrax patient from Yuanzhuang Village. After receiving the report, the provincial and municipal leaders made important instructions, and Ganquan County quickly launched an emergency plan for prevention and control. Provincial and municipal experts went to Ganquan County in a timely manner to conduct epidemic investigations and guide prevention and control work. At present, according to the technical requirements of prevention and control, all prevention and control work has been fully carried out, and the source and diagnosis of the disease are being carried out by the Provincial Animal Disease Prevention Center. As of now, 15 animals died and 11 people were suspected of being infected. According to experts, anthrax is a zoonotic disease transmitted through blood contact. It can be prevented, controlled and cured.
